Air

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is well-connected to major cities. Upon arrival, taxis or BEST city buses can whisk you to the Dargah (approximately 20 km away).

Train

Mumbai boasts several prominent stations like Mumbai Central and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, which are the nearest railway stations to Haji Ali. Local trains can then take you closer to the Dargah.

Local Train

Alight at stations like Mahalaxmi, Byculla, Mumbai Central, or Lower Parel on the Western and Central lines. Taxis or BEST buses will bridge the gap to the Dargah.

Road

Western Suburbs/Airport: Take the Sea-link to Worli, followed by Lala Lajpat Rai Marg or L.J Road.

Central Suburbs/Navi Mumbai: Use the Eastern Express Highway or the Sea-link to Worli.

South Mumbai: Opt for Peddar Road, Breach Candy, Tardeo, or Byculla.

Tides & Timing

Remember, the causeway to the Dargah disappears during high tide. Check tide schedules beforehand to ensure smooth access (remember, I can help you find this information!). The Dargah is open from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

Dress Code

Respect the sanctity of the religious site. Opt for modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Head coverings are recommended, especially for women.

Footwear Matters

The causeway can get wet and slippery due to seawater spray. Choose comfortable, closed-toe shoes for safe navigation.

Crowds & Comfort

Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays tend to be busier. If you prefer a quieter experience, plan your visit accordingly. For scorching afternoons, carry water, sunglasses, and a hat to stay hydrated and comfortable.
